Jose Fernandez: Flocksy Graphic Designer

The Story
What Design Means To Jose
For Jose (who speaks both Spanish and English), graphic design is also a means of communication.

Jose’s love of computers and technology could have led him to study coding or engineering, but with his artistic abilities, he wanted a more creative career. Now, he loves the chance to challenge himself every day. With each new client comes a new brief and design style, and in Jose’s own words: “every day feels brand new.”
Jose’s Favorite Flocksy Project
Jose’s favorite project was an album cover he designed for an artist named Callum. It was his first project with Flocksy, and he felt the project “challenged him” to work outside his typical design style. Although he was nervous at first about meeting the client’s high expectations, he found a way to inspire himself along with a way to understand the client’s brand and style better.
“It was one of my first projects at Flocksy. I listened to the artist’s songs, and the singing inspired me. After listening to the music, I think that I was able to match the artist’s style – nostalgic and a bit dark.”
The artist and her team were just as impressed with Jose’s album designs as he was with her music, leaving a glowing 5-star review after receiving the album covers.
