What Is Unlimited Video Editing? Pricing, Turnaround, and How It Actually Works

Unlimited video editing is a flat monthly subscription where a dedicated editor handles as many video projects as you can queue, working on one active request at a time. You send briefs and footage, the editor works through them in order, and you get first drafts and revisions back on a rolling basis. There is no per-video fee, no per-revision fee, and no scoping call for every new cut.

It is the same idea as unlimited graphic design, applied to video: predictable monthly cost, one point of contact, no rebuilding the brief with a new freelancer every time you need a Reel cut down or a testimonial subtitled.

What does "unlimited" actually mean?

Two things, and it is worth being straight about both.

You can queue an unlimited number of requests. Ten short-form cuts, a testimonial, a product demo, three motion lower thirds - drop them all in and the editor works through them.

But an editor works on one active project at a time. So your real ceiling is what a working editor can finish inside your daily hours. It is a fixed-cost model, not an infinite-output model. Anyone claiming a real person can edit fifty deliverables in parallel is either using stock templates or handing your footage to something you would not want touching your brand.

How much does unlimited video editing cost?

Most services in this category run between $1,000 and $2,500 per month. Flocksy's plans start at $1,199 per month billed annually or $1,699 per month billed monthly, with 2, 4, and 6 daily-hour options depending on how much you need shipped each day. See current pricing for the full breakdown.

Two details that matter more than the sticker price:

  • Rollover. Hours you do not use bank for 30 days. If you have a light week before a launch, the hours are there when you need them.
  • No overage fees. The monthly rate is the monthly rate. If a cut takes longer than expected, you are not on the clock.

What do you get with a plan?

A working video editor's day, five days a week, dedicated to your queue. That covers:

  • Short-form social cuts for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
  • YouTube long-form edits with pacing, B-roll, and sound work
  • Product demos, testimonial cuts, and explainer edits
  • Motion graphics, lower thirds, animated titles, and simple VFX
  • Color correction, sound cleanup, captions, and subtitles
  • Revisions on anything above, unlimited, run through the same queue

On 4+ daily-hour plans you also get a Production Coordinator keeping the queue moving. On 6+ daily-hour plans you get an Art Director reviewing work before it comes back to you.

Who actually does the work?

Real editors. Ours cut in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and CapCut. Motion editors work in After Effects and Cinema 4D for the heavier pieces.

AI has a place in the workflow - rough transcription, first-pass captions, asset cleanup, some cutdown suggestions. But a person is pacing every cut, choosing every beat, and finishing every deliverable. People do the work, AI does the plumbing tasks that would otherwise eat your editor's hours.

That distinction matters. A lot of "unlimited video" services now push the actual editing through generative tools and hand back something that looks like a template. If the brand you are building is worth anything, that is not the trade you want.

How does turnaround work?

Short-form cuts and simple revisions usually move quickly, often the same or next business day depending on brief clarity and where you are in the queue. Longer YouTube edits and heavier motion pieces take longer, sometimes several days for a first cut, sometimes over a week for a full launch video.

We do not promise a fixed 48-hour SLA on every deliverable because it would not be honest. Complex motion work does not fit inside 48 hours and pretending otherwise ends with cut corners. First drafts move fast; realistic scope is what makes the model work.

When is unlimited video editing the right fit?

It works when you have a steady queue of video work and hiring a full-time editor is either too expensive or too slow to spin up. A few signals it is a fit:

  • You are shipping social video weekly and the volume is climbing
  • You want one editor who learns your brand instead of a new freelancer every project
  • Your finance team wants predictable creative spend, not per-project invoices
  • You need motion graphics, cutdowns, and captions on the same team, not three vendors

It is not a fit if you need one huge launch film every quarter and nothing in between. For that, hire a production shop. It is also not a fit if you want the cheapest possible per-video cost - AI-only tools will win on price and lose on brand.

How Flocksy does unlimited video editing

You get a dedicated video editor, a motion editor for After Effects work, and access to the rest of the roster (designer, illustrator, copy support) for anything the video needs around it - thumbnails, end cards, storyboards, scripts. On 4+ daily-hour plans a Production Coordinator manages the queue. On 6+ daily-hour plans an Art Director reviews work before it comes back to you.

Requests happen through a portal, not email chains. Working files stay with you. Cancel anytime and access continues through the end of your billing cycle.

See how the video and motion team ships, or book a 15-minute demo and we will walk through your queue.
